About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Verification of Benefits (VoB) Specialist to join our growing healthcare
RCM team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate patient insurance verification,
maintaining strong communication with providers, and supporting the billing team with timely and accurate
benefit confirmations. This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong
communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify patients’ insurance benefits before scheduled appointments or services.
- Contact insurance companies via phone and online portals to confirm eligibility, coverage details, deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, and authorization requirements.
- Document benefit verification details accurately in the practice management system.
- Communicate benefit information to patients and providers clearly and professionally.
- Work closely with billing, credentialing, and pre-authorization teams to ensure seamless RCM operations.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and insurance information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Handle escalations for complex verification cases and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Healthcare, or related field).
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in medical or dental RCM, specifically insurance verification/VoB.
- Familiarity with U.S. insurance carriers, payer portals, and dental/medical billing software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, eClinicalWorks, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
